ARTISTS

Learn more about this years' nationally-recognized artists

Kyle McKearney

In 2020, Kyle McKearney was restless and ready to start something new. After spending time in Nashville and being a part of many varied musical projects, he settled in Alberta and began posting YouTube videos of himself performing cover songs. It was the start of a creative reinvention, and two years later Kyle’s debut solo album Down-Home received a Canadian Country Music Association award nomination for Alternative Country Album of the Year.

Big Sugar

Since the 90's Big Sugar have been a staple on the airwaves and highways with a unique combination of Jamaican rhythms, blues tonality and heavy rock aggression. Songs like 'Diggin A Hole', 'If I Had My Way', 'Turn The Lights On' and 'Roads Ahead' with their roots/rock/reggae style featuring Gordie Johnson’s signature guitar playing have built a loyal following, earning Big Sugar a Road Gold Award as they continue to sell out concerts across North America.

Emerson Drive

Emerson Drive’s astounding career, spanning over 20 years lands them at a place that few musical groups reach. With over 60 million global streams, 40 billion radio impressions, 22 Top 10 singles, over 4500 shows played, millions of miles traveled, and countless awards/nominations from the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, CMT, Dove Awards, GRAMMY Awards, JUNO Awards, Billboard and the Canadian Country Music Association, Emerson Drive has a lot to celebrate as they wrap up a touring career that few artists can only dream of.

Tyson Ray Borsboom

Borsboom, a Canadian singer/songwriter has created intricate portraits of love and life in the modern world using little more than his trusted acoustic guitar.

Josh Dillon Band

Justin Sutton

Justin Sutton has made a name for himself in the Alberta country music scene with his authentic approach to the genre. Adding depth, emotion, and character to his music, Justin connects with audiences and leaves a lasting impression.

Coyote Junction

Coyote Junction, a talented classic rock/country band from Lethbridge, known for their exceptional vocal harmonies and ability to play a wide variety of genres. With a focus on classic rock and country, they also bring a special addition of 90's favorites to their setlist

Brother Bicker Band

Featuring Darryl Swart on drums, Jim Duncan on bass, Jeremy Hrdlicka on vocals and acoustic guitar, Tom Mogan on guitar and vocals, Ben Ellard on keys and newcomers, Jennele Coulson and Claire Wilkes on vocals, these seven friends and band mates bring a unique and refreshing take on the "roots" rock genre, best described as "maple whiskey rock n roll" - well-aged and a little bit harsh, it may burn a little at first.

Taylor Ackerman's Global Acid Reset

High energy blues rock, direct from Lethbridge, Alta. Taylor began playing music at age 6 and has been actively gigging since age 14 with a passion, and understanding of roots, rock, and blues music. A gifted multi-instrumentalist, Taylor studied classical music at the U of L, specializing in percussion, and earned a Bachelor of Music in 2012.

Natural Twenty

Astral-plane-walkers meets sultry-tunes-talkers. The urban, cosmopolitan band repping Neo-Funk, Soul, Jazz, and R&B music from Calgary, AB

Chris Fakir

The party continues with a wonderful and interactive music experience with crowd pleasing beats spun by local DJ Chris Fakir.

Paris Pick

Tirelessly driven, Paris Pick has successfully managed to carve a niche for herself and earn her title as The Yukon’s “Yacht-Pop Princess” with her distinctive voice, bold sense of fashion and uplifting songs about personal growth, life, love and heartache all perfectly weaved together with crunchy-cute fuzz guitar solos and mid-70’s inspired vocal melodies that’ll make you swoon.

Makiisma

Makiisma’s unique song-writing and melodic intuitions have led the band to pen their own genre for their music; doom-folk.   Bringing together elements of the classical world with heavy, raw, expressive music Makiisma creates songs that lie somewhere between Portishead, Black Mountain, and death gospel artist Chelsea Wolfe.
