However, the programming included virtual gourmet pancake breakfasts (through Umami Shop), drive-thru pancake breakfasts, drive-thru Jumbo Ears, drive-thru baked potato stands and a two-day food truck festival held at Exhibition Park.
“The success of this event wouldn’t have been possible without the tremendous partnership and nudging from Patricia and Sven at Umami Shop Canada” say Chief Operating Officer of Lethbridge & District Exhibition. “Once again, the incredible generosity of this community never ceases to amaze me” continued Warkentin when referring to sponsorship of the events from Gas King – Lethbridge, Western Stockman, Diamond Sun Farms Inc., Subaru of Lethbridge and Fee Simple Law.
More than 3,000 vehicles attended the multi-day events held through Umami Shop and at Exhibition Park with a uniquely local agriculture story woven in. All of the ingredients sourced for the virtual pancake breakfasts were from southern Albertan producers, all of the potatoes used for the drive-thru baked potato stand were supplied by Diamond Sun Farms Inc. in Burdett, Alberta. Additionally, 660 kg of flour milled by Parrish & Heimbecker, Ltd. in Lethbridge, Alberta, 450 litres of Canola Oil processed by Richardson Oil Seeds in Lethbridge, Alberta and 160 kg of sugar processed by Rogers Sugar is Taber, Alberta was used in the production of Jumbo Ears over the three day event.
